Innovetive Petcare, based out of Austin, Texas, is now seeking a remote Veterinary Online Pharmacy Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis with availability on Saturday on a rotating schedule. This is a remote position that can be based anywhere within the United States.

The Online Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for the advocacy and bridging of Innovetive Petcare’s internal network of individual online pharmacies to the clients and patients at each of the hospitals. This is achieved through individualized, high touch customer care via phone, texting, and/or emails that starts from the moment a client requests an online pharmacy prescription from the clinic. The Veterinary Online Pharmacy Specialist is an extension of each veterinary hospitals’ team, and should be able to efficiently and accurately handle multiple incoming requests at a given time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a call-center environment making outbound calls to veterinary clients who are looking to get their pets medication online.
  • Act as an extension of each veterinary hospital, and tailoring each approach to fit the personality and needs of that community.
  • Answer questions from clients and advocate for usage of internal online pharmacy.
  • Track acceptance rates, report findings monthly, and continuously refine approach for optimal client experience.
  • Partner with veterinary hospitals to increase usage of their online pharmacies and generate solutions to overcome barriers.
  • Provide an exceptional client journey from the moment of inquiry to the reception of product.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience is required.
  • Knowledge of routine and/or common veterinary medications.
  • General PC knowledge, including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Efficient, clear communicator via telephone, text, and e-mail.
  • Ability to quickly learn, navigate, and understand medical records across multiple practice management system platforms, and clearly input communication logs.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a passion for customer service.
  • Ability to discuss and influence alternative options and solutions with customers.
  • Resolve issues and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple incoming tasks and requests at any given time.
