JOB SUMMARY: Your Flight Plan!

The District Manager provides oversight of the district’s operations in accordance with Chapter 190 of Florida Statutes. This position may be required to provide direction to field operations such as maintenance, operations, or other contractors per the terms of the district’s agreement. This position also performs administrative responsibilities and client resolution. This position reports to the General Manager and the Vice President of District Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Ready to Fly!

  • Attend, record and conduct all regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors Meetings including landowners’ meetings if applicable.
  • Presentation of District’s annual budget in accordance with Chapter 190, Florida Statutes.
  • Ensure District follows administrative and financial reporting for Community Development Districts.
  • Correspond and communicate with Board of Supervisors and staff to respond on various needs of the District and Community.
  • Review and approve agendas for circulation to the Board of Supervisors.
  • Review and approve annual budget, annual audit, monthly disbursements.
  • Review annual insurance policy to ensure District maintains proper insurance coverage.
  • Oversee the administrative agenda process.
  • Work with accounting to ensure that bills are paid in accordance with contracts.
  • Provide oversight and direction to field operations and coordinate repairs for any common areas maintained by the district.
  • Respond to resident requests and complaints.
  • Educate residents on District responsibilities.
  • The District Manager is responsible for the oversight of The District’s operations. This position works with the District’s Attorney and District’s Engineer and other consultants. The role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports and for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. This position must assist with the administration and facilitating of the District’s Board meetings and workshops.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The Wingspan Needed!

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting is preferred
  • 2-3 years’ experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with reading and presenting financials and budgets
  • Up to 50% travel is expected with this position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Our Nest is your Nest!

  • This is a largely sedentary role.
  • This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Some long travel requirements, driving is expected with this position.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
