Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 6 months -1 year
Estimated pay range: 71.11 88.88 per client contract and candidate skills, experience and work location.
Job Description
- IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and execution of complex cross-functional projects associated with driving scalability in Corporate Applications.
- Projects will span across a broad range from ideation, evaluation to implementation of new software systems, scale up for product launches, integration of acquisitions, system upgrades, facility expansions.
Primary Function of Position:
- Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Project Manager to provide program management and leadership for multi- functional product development teams in the Corporate Ops Portfolio.
- As a Senior Project Manager, you will develop a complete plan of record and lead the team to implement the plan, responsible for meeting the project dates, ensure effective testing and product performance, project budgeted cost.
- Knowledge of Financial Processes (Record to Report, Financial Close, Asset Management, Sales planning, Expense Management) and HR processes (Talent Acquisition, Payroll) and other beneficials.
- Ways of working: Set Schedule (3 days) and Onsite in Sunnyvale Campus
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Gain cross-functional alignment on strategies, goals, resources, and timelines.
- Cross-functional teams include Finance, HR, Manufacturing, Operations, Security, Applications, Infrastructure, IT, Regulatory, Compliance, Field Service, Customer Service, and other Business Units.
- Partner with business PM and leverage Organization Change Management - stakeholder analysis, communication plans, training material and end user training, solution adoption.
- Provide input for budgets and monitor performance to budgets.
- Ensure compliance to internal business and quality system requirements and to external regulatory standards.
- Perform audits and oversee project/program governance.
- Organize and lead core team and executive steering committee meetings.
- Provide clear communication to the organization on project status, critical path, as well as potential areas of risk.
- Drive resolution of constraints, conflicts and other challenges that could impact timely and successful execution of projects.
- Create, manage project plan, and assign tasks to team members.
- Track and manage project budget.
- Ensure effective communication methods/mediums.
- Manage coordination of the working groups engaged in project work.
- Record, manage project issues and escalate when necessary, ensuring resolution on a timely basis.
- Manage resource requirements.
- Manage project scope and adhere to IT change control.
- Monitor project progress and performance.
- Provide status reports to the project sponsor and steering committee.
- Work with project owners to ensure business needs are met
- Work with the team facilitating meetings, assisting in tasks, etc.
- Define and manage the Test plan.
- Ensure adherence to the Project Management methodology.
- Act as Test/Validation Lead, Training Lead, Cutover Lead, OCM lead and Project Coordinator
- except where the size of the project justifies a separate resource for one or more of these roles.
- Has Workday Integration experience
- Has Workday Application knowledge
Manage (including ensuring the quality of) project deliverables in line with the project plan:
- Kick Off Presentation
- Detailed Project Schedule in MS Project/Smartsheet
- Project Budget vs. Actuals
- Business Blueprint
- Test Plan
- Training Plan
- Cutover Schedule in MS Project/Smartsheet
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to lead, influence and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross functional team environment.
- Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize data, set actionable goals and drive metrics and execution.
- Minimum 8 years of experience involved in leading major cross-functional projects in Manufacturing Operations
- Medical device experience is a plus
- BS or equivalent work experience
