  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Account Executive, the Database Engineer plays a pivotal role in conceptualizing and executing innovative design solutions. Database Engineer will Architect, design, implement and maintain local (PostgreSQL/MongoDB & Oracle) and future cloud-based database and data analytics systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Database design experience creating and maintaining database schemas and data structures to support system functionality.
  • Data Model Management, design and manage data models using MongoDB.
  • Participate in complex projects including installations, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Data Layer Design: Lead the design and presentation of the data layer to ensure all system requirements are met.
  • Conduct application validation and functional testing to ensure system performance.
  • Define and design testing specifications, including TDD and BDD, for reliable software functionality.
  • Provide recommendations for resolving or escalating issues to meet service level agreements.
  • Work with technology teams, internal partners, and stakeholders to fulfill product commitments.
  • Perform low-level design to map data and maintain schemas for components and microservices.
  • Write Database scripts, design database configurations, and collaborate on developing components and microservices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Meet minimum requirements for eligibility for a Government Security Clearance.
  • 6+ years of experience in Database engineering/Development, including design, analysis, and testing of software systems.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL and Oracle.
  • Experience with VSAM, RDS
  • Strong hands-on experience writing Database scripts & ETL experience
  • Understanding of JSON, database Schema.
  • Databricks and Dataservices API experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with microservices and orchestrating high-volume transactions on PCF, Kubernetes, and Cloud.
  • 3+ years of software development in building systems from scratch, focusing on design patterns, best practices, and automation.
  • 3+ years working in agile environments, familiar with agile ceremonies, scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience with designing database schemas, writing SQL scripts, and developing software on the cloud.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
