About The Role
As an enthusiastic member of our cross-functional team, you’ll take ownership of quality assurance for our SaaS product, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Testing Plans: Craft comprehensive test plans and end-to-end test cases, adapting them based on user feedback to maintain robust test coverage.
- Collaborate in Agile Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in a dynamic Agile environment, contributing to functional and non-functional test cases.
- Drive Product Quality: Own the quality process throughout the product lifecycle, from design and development to launch, ensuring rigorous standards are met at every stage.
- Conduct Varied Testing Types: Perform exploratory, functional, API, regression, and smoke testing, striving for real-world solutions that enhance software quality and support automation initiatives.
- Build Domain Expertise: Grow your understanding of the product and its usage, cutting through ambiguity to deliver actionable insights that improve user experience.
- Peer Collaboration and Reviews: Collaborate with team members to ensure QA tests meet specifications, are peer-reviewed, and align with user needs.
- Lead QA Innovation: Implement best practices and QA metrics with the QA Manager, contributing to data-driven decisions and continuous improvement across the team.
- Stay Goal-Oriented: Align with company goals and follow QA department standards, always focused on quality and efficiency.
- Experience: 5+ years as a QA Engineer, with a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing within established test frameworks.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to break down complex software requirements and technical designs, providing constructive, timely feedback.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in manual/automation tools and scripting languages, with familiarity in CI/CD infrastructure tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and NewRelic.
- Agile Expertise: Practical understanding of Agile SDLC and QA methodologies, including white-box and black-box testing.
- Issue Tracking: Experience writing test cases, managing defects, and using tools such as Testrail and Jira.
- Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to performance tools like JMeter, BlazeMeter, TestIm, or Selenium; familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, REST APIs) and databases (SQL, non-SQL).
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
