• 04:00 PM **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of one year of full-time acute care specific experience or two years of skilled nursing/inpatient rehab facility experience **License:** Hold a valid permanent license as a physical therapist **Certifications:** Proof of 2 hours of continuing education on CVA obtained within the recent 4 months **Must-Have:** Acute clinical therapy experience **Job Description:**
• Implement physician's orders for physical therapy services.
• Provide all necessary aspects of physical therapy within an interdisciplinary environment to facilitate patient independence and safety.
• Utilize growth and development knowledge in the care of pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
• Perform patient evaluations using appropriate functional tests/measures.
• Assess functional deficits and construct short-term, long-term, and personal/family goals.
• Establish therapy diagnosis and appropriate plan of care.
• Manage physically demanding tasks, including moving equipment and patients safely.
• Ensure secure documentation in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Use critical thinking with patient evaluation and treatment planning.
• Apply understanding of moist heat and other physical agent modalities as applicable.
• Utilize age-specific patient care indicators.
• Demonstrate understanding of musculoskeletal, nervous, and integumentary systems.
• Identify learning needs of patients or family members.
