Job Purpose
The Student Affairs Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the office, ensuring smooth workflow, and implementing office procedures and practices. The coordinator supports the department by maintaining bookkeeping records, overseeing administrative processes, and providing general support to professional, technical, and supervisory staff.
Supervisory Authority
May supervise and assign tasks to student workers as directed by the supervisor. Responsible for monitoring the performance of student workers and ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with departmental procedures. Reports to the Director of Student Affairs, Adrienne Packard.
Nature And Scope
The position involves regular interaction with faculty, staff, students, and other administrative offices. The coordinator ensures the efficient functioning of office operations and supports various departments by relaying directions and coordinating administrative tasks.
Principal Accountabilities
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of administrative or office coordination experience, preferably in an academic environment.
Proficiency in bookkeeping and budgeting principles.
Familiarity with office software, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
Experience in supervising student workers or other support staff is a plus.
Compliance Salary Range Disclosure
Compensation Range - $60,000 - $65,000

Principal Accountabilities
- Manage office workflow and implement office procedures to ensure efficiency.
- Assign and monitor student workers as needed, coordinating their tasks and ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for departmental revenues and expenditures and assign appropriate budget codes.
- Prepare requests for travel authorizations, service requests, and other departmental needs.
- Work closely with professional, technical, and supervisory staff to provide general support.
- Compile statistics and materials for various reports and reviews.
- Process and review a variety of forms, both online and in hard copy, such as personnel or purchase requests.
- Meet with staff to resolve accounting discrepancies and other financial issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between departments and offices, ensuring accurate coordination of tasks.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain precise bookkeeping and financial records.
- Proficient in using office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, showing initiative in addressing office needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth administrative operations.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and practices within an academic setting.
