Job Description
Position Summary:
Serve as a senior data analyst, subject matter expert, and team lead in support of the Prince William Water (PWWater) Information and Business Analytics initiatives. Participate in documenting customer requirements, analyze, design new business processes, and develop business analytics dashboards. Provide technical oversight, guidance, and development efforts for a multitude of new and ongoing initiatives in software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, database, SaaS data design, integration, and visualization, as well as application development and maintenance. Serve as a technical mentor to junior system analysts within the Data Management and perform project and task management responsibilities through project life cycles using industry-recognized best practices.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead, elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements of multiple stakeholders.
- Develop reporting or dashboards based on the stakeholder requirements.
- Review existing business processes and system inefficiencies and propose the improvements.
- Prepare ad-hoc queries as necessary using common reporting tools and other available tools and resources.
- Conduct the data quality checks by using automated processes.
- Develop and implement self-service dashboards or reports standards across the organization.
- Review and mature data governance policies, processes, and procedures for guidance.
- Monitor and audit data access, data usage, and adherence to data governance policies.
- Engage with multiple teams to spark innovative use cases for data and AI.
- Maintain the data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes.
- Assist in the configuration and management of Dell Boomi integrations, database/system connections.
- Manage projects through all project life cycle (including cross-divisional projects).
- Perform other related duties and activities as required.
Required Skills

- Ability to manage multiple work-streams and projects, learn quickly, and work independently with little supervision.
- 4+ years of experience as a data analyst and a Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Data science, Math or equivalent) or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years experience.
- 4+ years of experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau or equivalent tools.
- 3 + years of experience with SQL and other database management systems.
- Experience with data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes.
- Proficiency with Python, AI solutions, SaaS and cloud concepts
