Position: Operational Technology Network Engineer
In office requirements: Up to two days per week in office, downtown Toronto
Structure: Contract, 6 months to start
Pay: Up to $108.00 p/h INC.

We have a great new opportunity to support one of our banking clients in a contract capacity!

Typical Day in Role:
Gather and understand requirements from our Mexico business and technology groups.
Design and build/improve new/existing processes.
Co-ordinate with local (Toronto) development teams to ensure work is delivered on time.
Liaise with Mexico technology and business stakeholders to ensure deliverable meets their requirements.
Provide reporting to management on progress, raise concerns and suggest improvements to existing processes.
Leading the efforts from Toronto office and will be responsible for their own work and certain element of creative control over the solution.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Good understanding and knowledge of derivatives, in particular financial aspects such as risk management/systems, P&L analysis, VaR. MtM. Products include IR Swaps, FX options (FXO), IR options (Cap/floor)
2) Good understanding of derivatives trade lifecycle management including trade reconciliation, fixing and confirmations/settlements.
3) 5+ years of experience working with technology applications that supported derivatives trade lifecycle processes, including both in-house and vendor solutions (e.g. Calypso, Murex, ION).
4) 10+ years of experience as a business analyst

Nice-To-Have Skills:
Understanding of initial margin fundamentals and knowledge
Experience with Kafka streaming architecture, or any data lake architecture is a bonus
