Work Location: ONSITE - Anna, OH

Work Hours: mostly 6:30 AM to 3 PM shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tier-2/3 support for Java-based production applications, responding to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to understand recent deployments and to be prepared for potential issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and propose solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor application performance, system configuration, and system/server logs to identify potential issues proactively.
  • Assist in deploying application releases and updates in production environments, adhering to the company's change management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of new and existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and support manuals.
  • Ensure system security by following best practices and complying with information security policies.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates with at least 2-3 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in production support, including experience with Java-based applications.
  • Proficient in Java programming, with hands-on experience troubleshooting Java applications.
  • Strong understanding of Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Experience with application servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical details clearly.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to be on-call outside of regular business hours to address critical production issues.
