As a Lead Health Communications Specialist you will:
- Serve as a Team Leader.
- Ensure the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
- Lead the development, implementation, and management, and evaluation of major national or international communication and marketing programs, projects, and strategies for the lay and professional audiences, including innovative demonstration projects.
- Direct and guide development, testing, and timely dissemination of science- and audience-based products, tools, and messages to different audiences (i.e. general public, external organizations, partners, and media) in a variety of formats (i.e. print, video, Web.)
- Provide expert consultation and technical expertise in the creation of strategic and integrated plans and strategies for public health communication and marking programs, campaigns, and activities.
- Support research and evaluation activities related to health communication and marketing.
- Organize and direct the activities of a team or work unit; planning work to be accomplished, settings and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules, balancing workload and providing advice, guidance, and direction on a range of health communication and administrative issues.
- Serve as a liaison between agency and other Centers/Institutes/Offices (CIO) communication and marking staff on agency-wide issues and networks with a variety of external stakeholders (e.g., health officials in federal, state, and local agencies, officials of other countries and international organizations, communication experts, and representatives of the general public.)
