Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced Foundry Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving the efficiency of our foundry operations. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced foundry technologies and machinery. You will be a key player in our manufacturing processes, working closely with a team of dedicated professionals to drive our company's success.
Responsibilities:
As a Foundry Engineer, you will be expected to:
1. Develop, evaluate, and improve foundry processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure quality.
2. Design and execute process control systems to monitor operational efficiency.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve foundry process issues, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
5. Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives within the foundry.
6. Train and mentor foundry personnel to ensure understanding and adherence to foundry processes and safety protocols.
7. Assist in the selection, installation, and maintenance of foundry equipment and machinery.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including environmental and safety regulations.
9. Participate in the development of foundry budgets and forecasts.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Foundry Engineer position should possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in foundry operations.
3. Extensive knowledge of foundry processes, materials, and equipment.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
5. Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
8. A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
