As a Senior Data Analyst/Engineer at Nsight Health, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data infrastructure and driving actionable insights that enable us to provide the most value to our patients. You will also be pivotal in assisting the company in making data-driven decisions to stay ahead of the competition.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines, data stores, data lakes, as well as analyzing and visualizing data to provide valuable insights to various departments within the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to turn data into actionable information that drives improved patient outcomes and strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities:Data Pipeline Development
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data pipelines are efficient, scalable, and reliable.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance metrics and share insights with stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate data-driven recommendations to inform business decisions.
Data Modeling and Warehousing
- Design and maintain data models and data warehouses for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Optimize data structures for performance and scalability.
- Ensure data security and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Clearly communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Data Governance and Documentation
- Establish and enforce data governance best practices, including data lineage, data cataloging, and data dictionary management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, data models, and processes.
Continuous Learning and Innovation
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the data team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering) preferred.
- Proven experience (5-10+ years) in data engineering and data analysis roles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas).
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Power BI). Domo is the current data visualization tool, experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). AWS is the current platform, and experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of software security principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations and their implementation in software systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to manage complex projects and prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to a broad audience and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
- Excellent professionalism is required to effectively interact cross-functionally within the organization
