What the Role Offers - Research Associate II

As a Research Associate II you will help to develop and perform analyses, execute data workup, and qualify processes based on specific guidelines. Be involved in different immunological testing and reagent developmental work required to support Inventprise R&D, MSAT and manufacturing activities. This includes, but is not limited to, development, standardization, qualification and use of immunological assays for different vaccines under development for the quantitative and qualitative analysis at different stages of the product development. Takes care of lab equipment upkeep and helps reagent preparations and maintenance.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Help design, plan, organize, and execute immunological experiments, according to high scientific standards, under minimal supervision following GLP guidelines.
  • Contribute to development and optimization of different immunological reagents like monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, standard and quality control antigen.
  • Contribute to development and optimization of various immunological methods like assays for identification and quantitation of antigen and antibodies at different stages of product development and manufacture.
  • Work independently or in a team setting to help plan and perform troubleshooting experiments, develop new methods, compile and evaluate results.
  • Write and edit the prepared SOPs, method qualification and validation reports as per project requirement.
  • Write, developmental reports, technology transfer reports and research publications as required.
  • Ensure documentation of experiments as per GLP requirements.
  • Data compilation for Immunology lab experiments.
  • Writing of Immunology method development, verification, qualification and method transfer activities as required.
  • Participation in internal and joint internal/external research project relevant to the development of new testing assays.
  • Assures data generation, collection, analysis, reporting and archiving in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance, international standards and internal procedures which data integrity requirements.
  • Intellectually contribute to research and development and stay current with scientific literature and state of the art methodology.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks to meet goals and drive projects to completion according to timelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all tests performed.
  • Perform equipment set-up, daily operation, and maintenance.

Required Qualifications

Educational Pre-requisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree and above with emphasis in immunology, biology, chemistry, biochemistry or related fields.
  • Two years of biological/biochemistry research laboratory experience.

Physical Demands

  • Must be present on site for all related responsibilities and be able to routinely perform activities as needed.
  • Must be able to sit and stand unassisted for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to handle and work with potentially hazardous biologicals and chemicals per standard operating procedure.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Mental Demands

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Must maintain high level alertness and acuity for analytical review and processing of documentation, daily.
  • Able to work independently and in team settings with changing priorities.

Working Conditions

  • Onsite position in Redmond or Woodinville, WA. No remote or hybrid work is available for this position. A commute between different facilities is expected as per project requirements.
  • Extended periods of time on the computer.
  • Extended periods of time on your feet.
  • Working in warm environment wearing sterile gowning.
  • Working with chemicals per standard operating procedure

Estimated Base Salary: $29.00 - $35.45 Hourly DOE
