JOB SUMMARY
This position is a part of the Organizational Development and Learning and Development (OD/L&D) Department working in collaboration with the California Schools Talent Collaborative. Under the supervision of L&D leadership, the Learning and Development Facilitator will use their skills to develop, facilitate and deploy both online and in-person staff training. From a collaborative lens, this person will be facilitating learning with staff throughout the organization and working with the L&D team to modify content and refine facilitation approach per audience needs. The person in this role will work closely with staff and managers providing support throughout the organization. This role is Hybrid work setting with 2-3 days in the office each week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate California School Talent Collaborative professional development sessions as requested, including delivering materials, coordinating event logistics, supporting presenters, managing attendance, and ensuring the utilization of promising practices in adult learning & professional development.
- Facilitates a variety of learning experiences and staff development opportunities both virtually and in-person throughout the organization.
- Supports multiple platforms of training and development courses and programs (in-person, virtual, LMS).
- Manage various staff development and career mobility programs and opportunities.
- Manage & support the comprehensive process of creating professional development tools & resources; including but not limited to researching, designing, proofreading, editing, and formatting training content and support materials.
- Ensure that all training and staff development is aligned to California Schools Talent Collaborative goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development, Lead, and other departments to deliver and coordinate organizational training needs and schedules.
- Collaborate with L&D team and other departments to manage LMS events, registration, assessments, and reporting.
- Travel to regional hubs to deliver training.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors’ degree in a related field preferred.
- Combination of work experience and higher education.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in training and facilitation.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supporting adult learners preferred.
- Prior field experience working in an expanded learning program desired.
- Provide and maintain a clear TB test throughout employment.
- Maintain Intermediate Learning Management System experience (Canvas, Blackboard, Collaboration, etc.).
- Superior communication skills, including excellent writing and presentation skills. Oral and written communication with students and staff.
- Demonstrated comfort and skill moving beyond standard presentations to scaffold learning for large and small groups of diverse learners.
- Experience at building individual and organizational capacity to deliver learning experiences that result in an increase in service quality to the field.
- Commitment to a growth mindset and a climate of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to create an environment of psychological safety by working collaboratively and effectively with diverse staff, colleagues, and students.
- Familiarity with K-12 learning environments.
- Ability to adapt and learn new content and technology (webinars, asynchronous learning, software).
- Flexibility and ability to adapt during times of ambiguity and change.
- Detail oriented, problem solver, organized, and thorough before making recommendations.
- Expertise in learning theory, models of learning, and process facilitation preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong proficiency in the use of Excel, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional skills with MS Excel, data organization, and MS PowerPoint presentation.
- Salary $68,000
