Role:
The Technical Support Technician will be BDC Laboratories' point person on all service related activities, both internally and externally. They will be the expert on BDC Equipment servicing and maintenance and will be critical on all current and future service-related revenue generating initiatives. The Technical Support Technician will be passionate about technology and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills to assist our clients with technical issues related to our testing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate technical assistance and support to our clients via phone, email, or in-person for BDC testing equipment.
- Maintain and update assigned tickets through the BDC service ticketing system.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving BDC testing equipment
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, manuals, and troubleshooting guides for our test equipment to assist both clients and internal teams.
- Assist in new equipment installations, software updates, and modifications to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.
- Work closely with engineering, sales, and project management teams to provide technical insights, resolve issues, and improve product functionality based on client feedback.
- Work to determine routine maintenance/TPM schedules for all BDC equipment to serve as a foundation for creating a customer-based service program. Work with manager to determine feasibility and scope of a service program.
- Assist sales team with determining needs and generating quotes for service related items, upgrades and accessories.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (1+ years) in a technical support role
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support.
- Must be organized, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with a Windows environment, (Word and Excel) required.
