What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a dedicated Modeling Actuary to support our actuarial model infrastructure. This role is a crucial part of our in-force actuarial team, focusing on the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our actuarial models. This position will play a key role in building and optimizing our in-force valuation and projection platform. This role reports the Aspida Life Insurance Company Chief Actuary and is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC Headquarters.

What You Will Do:

Responsible for maintaining and improving existing actuarial models, and model governance.

Oversee implementation of new products or reinsurance blocks into the model infrastructure.

Implementation of new/enhanced reserve methodologies.

Implement assumption updates and quantify impacts.

Stays informed regarding industry trends and information relating to modeling infrastructure.

Partners with actuarial resources across the organization to work on special projects as needed.

What We Require:

Experience with GGY Axis or other actuarial modeling systems.

Proficient with R, Python, or a similar statistical software or programming languages.

Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

Knowledge of US Statutory, US GAAP Accounting Principles, Bermuda EBS.
