Non-SAP Data Architect with 15 Plus years of experience
The Data Architect independently manages many complex projects and their components. Also responsible for the mentoring of staff and the validating of the analysis, models, and data conversion and quality assurance. The Data Architect provides input and leadership to help define best practices and standards in database design and business intelligence solutions. Works closely with leadership and customers at the corporate level of the organization to develop integrated and standardized business intelligence solutions
The data architect will be responsible for the analysis, design, architecture and development data migration strategy from non-SAP systems.
- Leverage hands-on development with data integration technologies or scripting languages
- Architect solutions using Microsoft Azure and related technologies
- Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems
- Serve as the lead technical resource in oversight and planning of data extraction, Profiling & cleansing
Required skills
- Expertise in Data Architecture, Data Strategy and Roadmap for large and complex organization and systems and implemented large scale end-to-end Data Management solutions for more than one large client
- Expertise in Data Quality, Data Profiling, Data Governance, Data Security, Metadata Management, MDM, Data Archival and Data Migration strategies using appropriate tools
- Experience in designing and implementing complex ETL architectures and workflows
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts
- Hands-on experience with related/complementary open source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, Chef)
- Experience in performance tuning of complex ETL mappings
- Knowledge of advanced SQL programming, PL/SQL or T-SQL
- Good understanding of the full software development life cycle
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability
- Great presentation skills
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team
- Develops, tests, and implements complex ETL (extract, transformation, and load) routines.
- Documents business requirements and essential functionality requirements for in-house development and the selection of third-party applications.
- Leads large, complex projects through development of project work plans, recommendations for optimal utilization of resources, milestone tracking, and coordination
- Hands-on experience with ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools (e.g. Informatica, Talend)
- Drive delivery in a matrixed environment working with various internal IT partners
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and multiple tasks/projects occurring simultaneously
- Must be able to work independently and have skills in planning, strategy, estimation, scheduling,
- Strong problem solving, influencing, communication, and presentation skills, self-starter
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
- 15+ years of Data Management which includes extraction, profiling, cleansing and data loading.
- 15+ years of hands-on experience implementing data management solutions
- High level of SQL language proficiency with SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, and other database management systems.
