Job Description

This position is responsible for bridging the gap between an incumbent contractor and the new awardee. The transition period of performance is projected at 4-6 months, occuring in the spring of 2025. Desired applicants will be local to the Fayetteville, NC. TM will serve as the interlocutor between both organizations and mitigate any effect on mission through proactive communication and adherence to standard program management principles.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive transition plan, including project schedules and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with different teams and departments to ensure the successful execution of transition plans.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to the transition plan as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders about the progress of transitions.
  • Provide regular reports to management on the status of transitions.
  • Ensure that transitions are completed within the agreed-upon timeframe and budget.
  • Provide post-transition support and address any issues that arise.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Transition Manager or similar role in project management.
  • Experience with transition management software and project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, project management or relevant field. Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
