Summary: Seeking a Technical Writer I to develop and maintain technical documentation for defense acquisition and electronic systems.

Job Requirements:

  • Public Trust

  • Understanding of industry practices and standards in technical writing

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or master's degree

  • MBI Clearance (IRS MBI Preferred)

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical information

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain operations documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications

  • Write technical copy for various documents based on basic grammar concepts

  • Prepare reports, responses, and briefings for a wide range of audiences

  • Research technical subject matter from multiple sources to create comprehensible written content

  • Apply concepts from engineering drawings and consultations with engineers to produce documentation

  • Produce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, training manuals, etc.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and operational procedures to compile computer-related information

Pay: 30-40

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
