KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team! The IT Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating, planning, performing, triaging, and solving various software and hardware related activities in an organization. They help with the IT/IS needs of an organization and assist with implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements.

The scope of an IT Support Specialist's responsibilities varies day to day. In some cases, the focus is solely on computer networks and support. In other cases, the focus can be on working with technical infrastructure systems related to the company operations. Performs any other requests or duties as assigned by management.

Your role will take you to new heights, as you ll be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:

  • Receives inbound support requests (e.g. helpdesk calls, chat messages, emails) and resolves questions and issues directly (in-person), or via telephone, remote support, and/or email.
  • Manages Windows desktops, applications, cloud-based services, printers, and other devices in-person and remotely.
  • Provisions computers and setup hardware for employees.
  • Maintains inventory of computers and other IT hardware.
  • Maintains IT documentation of policy and procedures, standards, best practices, settings, and installations.
  • Maintains user licenses and upgrade schedules for hardware.
  • Offers occasional after-hours support/on-call availability for international employees.
  • Monitors performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoots hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
  • Performs any other requests or duties as assigned.

To succeed in this role, you ll need to have:

  • Working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
  • Knowledge of Salesforce preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of network hardware and LAN/WAN configurations
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database management
  • Strong skills supporting the Windows 11 desktop operating system in a domain environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Exchange, and Intune
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, and ability to prioritize against multiple (sometimes competing) priorities.
  • Occasional ability to work outside normal business hours we support an international operation!
  • Ability to remain confidential, impartial, and professional always with great access comes great responsibility.
  • Polite, considerate, and an effective and empathetic communicator in stressful situations we support various users with differing levels of technology savviness.
  • Flexible, self-directed, thorough, motivated, and capable of multitasking in sometimes stressful and oftentimes fast-paced situations.
  • Ability to adapt with circumstances that change, and unafraid to lean in and think critically to solve problems when unforeseen circumstances arise or priorities shift
  • Highly coachable you solicit feedback willingly and have a strong desire for improvement and growth
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and a team-driven attitude
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5years of Information Technology, Technology and Operations experience
  • Experience leading and managing Information projects and Information System infrastructure implementations and modifications.
  • Experience in Salesforce and Azure based applications and systems.
