Key Responsibilities
As the JD Edwards 9.2 Functional Consultant, you will:
- Lead Functional Assessments: Partner closely with stakeholders to assess current system functionality, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to meet business needs.
- Drive Functional Updates and Implementations: Work on the functional implementation of JD Edwards 9.2, updating legacy systems and overseeing configuration adjustments that align with business processes.
- Process Optimization: Work closely with business units to streamline processes and optimize workflows, focusing on operational efficiency and better reporting.
- Mergers and System Integration: Support the merging of legacy JD Edwards systems post-update, ensuring a smooth integration into the unified organizational framework.
- Materials Management & Manufacturing Focus: Utilize your experience with Materials Management and Manufacturing/Operations to enhance workflows and ensure the JD Edwards system aligns with operational needs.
- Documentation and Training: Develop user documentation and training materials to support system adoption and provide hands-on training to end-users.
Qualifications and Skills
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years of experience with JD Edwards ERP, particularly with JD Edwards 9.2.
- Strong functional knowledge in JD Edwards, with the ability to navigate complex workflows, reporting, and user roles within the system.
- Experience in Materials Management and Manufacturing/Operations within JD Edwards, enabling you to address core functional requirements for these areas.
- Proven experience in ERP migrations, consolidations, and process improvements.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels, translate functional requirements, and manage expectations.
- Analytical mindset to identify process inefficiencies and develop tailored solutions within JD Edwards.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (preferred) or any background involving systems consolidation and harmonization is a plus.
