Role: StarLIMS Developer / Support Analyst

End Client: Fortune 500 company

Job Type/Duration: 12-month contract

Ideal Start Date: 01/06/25

Interview Process: Two steps Functional and Technical interview, plus a culture screen.

Location: Preferably local to Arizona; Desert Southwest, ideally in Arizona time zone.

Travel: Candidate will be asked to travel to Phoenix and mining locations as needed (up to 25% travel).

Compensation:

  • $75hr to $90hr
  • W2 or 1099 (only)

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate for this StarLIMS Developer / Support Analyst role has over three years of hands-on experience in StarLIMS v11 development and support, particularly within laboratory environments. They are skilled in customizing StarLIMS to meet laboratory requirements, developing and maintaining scripts, reports, and workflows, and possess strong troubleshooting abilities for technical support. They are proficient in StarLIMS Scripting Language, JavaScript, SQL, and have experience with the .NET framework and C# as a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

Development and Configuration:

Design, develop, and configure StarLIMS applications and modules.

Customize StarLIMS to meet specific laboratory requirements.

Develop and maintain scripts, reports, and workflows within StarLIMS.

System Support:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for StarLIMS users.

Monitor system performance and implement improvements.

Collaboration and Training:

Work closely with laboratory staff to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Collaborate with IT and QA teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in StarLIMS v11 development and support.

Familiarity with laboratory environments and an understanding of laboratory workflows.

Technical Qualifications:

Programming Languages:

Proficiency in StarLIMS Scripting Language.

Strong skills in JavaScript, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.

Experience with .NET framework and C# is a plus.

Database Management:

Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).

Experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries.

System Integration:

Experience with integrating StarLIMS with other laboratory instruments and systems.

Familiarity with web services and APIs for system integration.

  • US Citizen, Green Card or Green Card - EAD (only)
