Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development: Sell Agilent Mass Spectrometry (MS) systems and workflows to commercial, government, and academic institutions.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as the technical expert for MS systems.
- Market Expertise: Stay up to date on the mass spectrometry market, including product knowledge, competitor offerings, and customer needs.
- Sales Cycle Management: Drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle, from identifying new prospects to closing complex sales.
- Seminars & Presentations: Create and deliver presentations and seminars to educate customers and increase awareness of Agilent’s solutions.
- Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with internal teams (account managers, application specialists) to deliver customer solutions and provide market/product feedback to R&D.
- Travel & Event Participation: Represent Agilent at technical shows, conferences, and industry events, traveling frequently within the designated geography (50% of the time).
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related majors.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant industry experience related to LCMS and/or GCMS.
- Skills: Strong technical understanding of mass spectrometry systems, including theory, principles, and applications.
- Sales Experience: Experience with strategic sales processes, including negotiating complex sales transactions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, coordinating with internal resources to drive success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical workflows.
- Strategic Selling: Knowledge of strategic selling techniques and market penetration strategies.
