Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineers. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Ocean Springs, MS.The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Maritime/Land Systems and Sensors division, Naval Systems business unit. Naval Systems designs and develops combat management systems and electronic suites for various Navy ships. The estimated start date for this position would be Summer 2025.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled as either a level 1 Associate Software Engineer or a level 2 Software Engineer.

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Software Engineer

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
• The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution
• Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
• The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
• Embedded software engineering experience
• Demonstrated project or internship experience with C, C++, Java, and/or Python
• Active U.S. DoD security clearance
• Previous Navy or other military experience

Pay Range:

Associate Software Engineer: $62,200 - $93,400/year

Software Engineer: $75,300 - $112,900/year
