Senior Accountant ($80-90k plus bonus)

Segrera Associates is working with a fast growing real estate company in the Tampa area that is adding a new Senior Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will have a CPA and public accounting experience and/or 3+ yrs of progressive accounting experience preferably in real estate/property management. The work environment is fast paced, great culture, and a team a very high performers.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain balance sheet schedules and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Preparation and entry of monthly journal entries for close out purposes
• Review and reconcile accrued liabilities such as property taxes and operating expenses
• Review and reconcile prepaid expenses such as home owner association dues and property insurance
• Preparation of full work-paper package to be reviewed by Senior Accountants
• Timely and accurate posting of all cash entries
• Review profit and loss statements at month end to validate all items are coded correctly
• Maintain and coordinate accounting control procedures

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA, public accounting highly preferred
• Experience in real estate/property management highly preferred
• 3+ years' experience of full cycle accounting
• Large ERP experience (Yardi highly preferred)
