Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Policy Analytics will lead efforts to analyze U.S. public policy developments and project the quantitative impact of such policies on government spending as well as on specific industries and clients.

This position will also help create novel U.S. public policy solutions and develop strategies to engage policymakers that advance the business objectives of our clients. This position will assist our clients with the adoption of favorable rules, regulations, and policies that align with their business objectives. Additionally, this position will oversee the internal processes for analyzing U.S. federal and state laws/regulations and policy proposals that could impact our clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the U.S. Policy & Analytics efforts in the development and execution of proactive engagement strategies with federal and state government agencies to shape public policies that impact our clients. Educate clients on the impact of policies on patients and providers and gain insights from agencies on emerging policy trends.
  • Lead the team Federal and State Policy team in the analysis and development of public policy positions. Support the execution of comprehensive government affairs strategies that shape the public policy environment for our clients.
  • Oversee the internal processes for analyzing U.S. federal and state laws/regulations and policy proposals that could impact our clients positively or negatively.
  • Learning markets and policies/legislation/regulations relevant to ADVI and ADVI s clients and providing insights from research performed
  • Creating content and deliverables from assigned tasks
  • Deliver client-ready deliverables on-time
  • Providing subject matter expertise in the markets and policies/legislation/regulations relevant to ADVI and ADVI s clients
  • Serves as the day-to-day client lead on multiple clients and projects supporting multiple ADVI engagements
  • Leads internal and advisor teams to drive client deliverables to completion within expected timelines and within budget
  • Managing and/or selling a set dollar amount of sales and delivering a set dollar amount of revenue per fiscal year (i.e., business development responsibilities)
  • Sets direction for the work project with the Senior Manager(s) and Manager(s) for an engagement; manages the day-to-day work of the Senior Managers and Managers.
  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships - understanding client needs, managing expectations, and providing exceptional service.
  • Developing and mentoring junior members on his/her project teams

Education:

  • College degree: advance degree preferred

Experience:

  • 10 plus years of analytical and research experience in healthcare economics and/or policy. Strong data and analytics capabilities and experience with Excel based models.
  • Strong data analytic capabilities with proven track record of integrating disparate datasets and conducting complex modeling and simulations to develop business or policy insights.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry
  • General understanding of U.S. and/or global private market dynamics as they relate to policy changes at the state, federal, and/or international level. Understanding of government payer dynamics on other stakeholders in the healthcare system. General understanding of U.S. and/or global public policy issues.
  • Experience in developing models that incorporate manufacturer sales, profit and marketing data, medical and pharmaceutical claims data, public healthcare utilization and cost data, Medicare and Medicaid data and third party vendor data. Experience and strong working knowledge of public databases.
  • Ability to synthesize model outputs and effectively communicate outcomes of modeling to cross functional group of stakeholders in a manner that relates to company goals. Inspire business decisions by creatively visualizing and reporting findings so that the data tells an impactful story.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills, the ability to speak and write persuasively and with clarity, strong organizational skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements, resourcefulness and creativity, strong attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively in a fluid organizational environment.
  • Candidate must be a creative, flexible and entrepreneurial thinker capable of developing persuasive communications to facilitate internal education and understanding of complex public policy issues.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment, handle ambiguity well and enjoy working in a collegial, yet highly demanding culture. Must be able to work collaboratively with peers.
