Senior BI Developer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior BI Developer to join our data team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with BI tools, data warehousing, and analytical solutions, bringing advanced data visualization and reporting expertise to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and data visualizations, primarily using [specify BI tools, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.].
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design, enhance, and optimize data warehouse structures to support BI solutions and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to identify business trends and insights, supporting teams with ad-hoc reporting needs.
  • Optimize BI reports and queries for improved performance and scalability; implement best practices for data visualization and reporting.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Maintain documentation of BI solutions, data models, and processes. Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and dashboards.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in BI development, data analytics, or related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
    • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and building data pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
