Official Title: Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (AI)
Duties Include:
- Directs and controls the overall planning, direction, and execution of resources related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology solutions.
- Plans, executes, tracks, monitors, and evaluates AI projects funded from various budget sources.
- Gathers, consolidates, and presents information describing IT technical needs for the acquisition and implementation of AI tools, software, and infrastructure.
- Identifies AI technical needs and recommends solutions through service, software, and equipment acquisition.
- Forecasts long-term AI requirements and collaborates with DHHS and vendor communities to engineer future products.
- Formulates IT policies and procedures for AI implementation and interprets plans and guidance from senior agency officials.
- Coordinates AI technology solutions architecture to meet DHHS Department initiatives and OMB requirements.
- Advises agency staff and federal counterparts on AI application development, system capabilities, and program modifications.
- Conducts independent AI research and stays updated with emerging technologies to optimize agency business systems.
- Provides technical advice, leadership, and direction on systems analysis and design-related issues for customer benefit.
