Position Overview:
The Sr. Application Analyst will play a critical role in the support, implementation, and optimization of Workday 's HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Onboarding and Learning integrations for the Montefiore Health System. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure smooth integration processes, provide technical support, and deliver innovative solutions aligned with organizational needs.

Position Overview:
The Sr. Application Analyst will play a critical role in the support, implementation, and optimization of Workday 's HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Onboarding and Learning integrations for the Montefiore Health System. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure smooth integration processes, provide technical support, and deliver innovative solutions aligned with organizational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Application Management:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Workday applications and integration components.
- Provide go-live and rollout support for system implementations and updates.
- Ensure smooth release management during and after implementations.
- Testing & Documentation:
- Create detailed test plans and conduct testing for new systems, upgrades, and modifications.
- Document testing results and ensure all application changes are properly tracked.
- User Support & Training:
- Interface with users across the Montefiore Health System to provide support on new applications, modules, and system functionalities.
- Analyze business needs to ensure the optimal configuration of Workday solutions.
- Develop and maintain accurate system specifications based on user requirements.
- Create and disseminate technical training materials, user guides, and system documentation.
- System Analysis & Integration:
- Analyze and evaluate the business and operational workflows to ensure they align with Workday 's capabilities and meet end-user requirements.
- Interpret and clarify end-user needs, presenting viable solutions to meet business objectives.
- Coordinate system modifications with IT associates or external vendors, ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
- Operational Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide day-to-day operational support, advanced troubleshooting, and coordination of system updates.
- Proactively monitor integrations, recommending improvements to enhance performance and streamline processes.
- Ensure efficient and timely support for integration issues, working with cross-functional teams to resolve problems.
- Collaboration & Team Development:
- Work closely with other Application Analysts and IT staff, providing mentorship and guidance to support team growth and skill development.
- Foster a collaborative environment, promoting the sharing of knowledge and best practices of Workday integrations among team members.
- 24/7 Operational Support:
- Provide 24x7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis.
- Offer on-site support within Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and affiliates as needed, ensuring timely troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience in supporting and implementing Workday integrations, with a focus on HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Onboarding and Learning modules.
- Strong knowledge of Workday 's integration technologies, including EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, and Web Services (REST, SOAP).
- Experience with XML, XSLT, and Workday Report Writer (BIRT) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, integration protocols, and best practices for HR system integrations.
- Experience in system analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting within a complex enterprise environment.
- Analytical & Communication Skills:
- Proven ability to assess business requirements, analyze operational workflows, and deliver tailored integration solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, vendors, and business users.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting processes, providing training, and working with end-users.
- Team Leadership & Support:
- Experience mentoring or leading junior analysts, fostering a team-oriented work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Workday Pro Certification or relevant Workday training is highly desirable.
