Veritas InfoScale Resident/Consultant

CMK Resources is seeking a highly qualified Veritas InfoScale Resident Engineer with deep expertise in deploying and maintaining the most current version of the Veritas InfoScale High Availability suite, specifically within cloud environments.

Location: Remote in the United States/Consulting

The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, accuracy, and security of the customer s business data using Veritas InfoScale solutions. This role requires direct hands-on technical expertise in Veritas InfoScale, proactive monitoring, and advising on best practices specifically within cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Veritas InfoScale (Storage Foundation and VCS) in cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Create and manage configuration snapshots and documentation for Storage Foundation High Availability (SFHA) applications.
• Ensure compatibility of InfoScale, Disaster Recovery (DR), and Veritas Backup Solutions (VBS) within cloud environments.
• Implement and support Veritas Operations Manager (VOM) and Veritas Backup Solutions in cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert advice to the customer.
• Monitor operational performance, proactively addressing any emerging issues.
• Conduct patching and upgrades to maintain optimal environment stability.
• Provide case and ticket management support for all Veritas-related issues.
• Review and optimize configuration of customer-identified tools.
• Mentor and share knowledge with customer teams.
• Conduct capacity, availability, and performance audits for Veritas InfoScale in cloud environments.
• Regularly assess and provide recommendations for improving the customer s Veritas InfoScale configuration.
• Identify opportunities to automate tasks and optimize system processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Veritas InfoScale, including current Storage Foundation, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) versions.
• Proven expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform and using tools like Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of Storage Foundation versions 5.x & 6.x.
• Track record of ensuring high availability and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to lead projects independently.
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills in both cloud and on-premises Veritas InfoScale environments.
