Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Database Administrator to support the program of Public Health Information Systems. The Database Administrator will perform highly specialized and complex information systems analysis and programming tasks and acts as technical expert for development or maintenance of one or more major systems. This position may also function as a lead for application development projects and may supervise lower-level application development personnel. For this position, candidates should have the following skills and experiences:
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded 6/30/25.
Pay Rate-
$46.44 per hour

Shifts: Hybrid. Mostly telework with occasional meetings in downtown los angeles.
Job Details:
  • Proficiency in DBMS: Expertise in popular database systems like SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • SQL Mastery: Expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Database Design and Architecture: Ability to design efficient and scalable database structures.
  • Performance Tuning: Experience optimizing database performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Backup and Recovery: Knowledge of implementing backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
  • Security Management: Understanding of database security, including encryption and access controls
  • Cloud Database Management: Experience with managing databases in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving database issues
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and three (3) years of recent, full-time, paid experience coding, testing, and debugging applications programs -OR- Four (4) years of recent, full-time, paid experience in an information technology organization, coding, testing, and debugging application programs.
  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
