About the Role:
Adastra Resource Group is excited to be retained by a market-leading client undergoing a major IFS implementation. We are looking for an experienced IFS Finance Business Analyst / SME to lead best-practice utilization of IFS Finance functionalities in support of their business processes. Currently on IFS9, with plans to transition to IFS Cloud, the client seeks an Analyst skilled in IFS Accounting to support and drive improvements within their Accounting & Treasury teams.
As part of the IFS Cloud project team, this role will work closely with stakeholders across IT, Finance, and external partners to enhance finance and accounting processes, support end-users, and deliver meaningful system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- IFS Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary expert on IFS accounting and finance modules, ensuring efficient and effective use of IFS functionality.
- IFS Project Participation: Collaborate with the IT team to lead Accounting and Finance IT projects, including the migration from IFS9 to IFS Cloud.
- IFS Training & Support: Develop and deliver IFS Finance & Accounting training; provide end-user support by resolving tickets related to Finance & Accounting functionality.
- IFS Systems and Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflows in collaboration with Accounting/Treasury and FP&A teams.
- IFS Testing & Maintenance: Work closely with the Enterprise Applications Administrator to manage system patches, upgrades, and testing.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in MIS, Business Computer Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with hands-on experience as an IFS user in Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 4 years implementing Accounting functionality using the standard IFS implementation process.
- Strong background in IFS 9 or 10 ERP, specifically supporting finance functions.
- CPA preferred.
- Skills:
- In-depth understanding of accounting and finance concepts and processes.
- Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities and execute project deliverables.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with end-users and external partners.
- Experience managing outsourced partners/vendors and utilizing maintenance contracts, such as IFS Operational Success.
- Experience with IFS Cloud is a plus, along with functionality to support FET/TTB reporting.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional standing, walking, and use of hands; ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds.
