This is an entry level analyst position that will be responsible for ensuring the proper accounting and financial reporting for the acquisition, construction, and disposition of the client fixed assets in compliance with State, Federal and Corporate guidelines and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This role will support the capitalization of fixed assets for all client segments both domestic and international.
Perform cost segregation on medium to large semi-complex projects with multiple asset components
Identify technical/engineering aspects of assets to clarify associated costs
Address property tax audit documentation requests by pulling backup documentation
Participate in meetings with management to evaluate accounting/company policy guidance
Perform review of peer or lowered-tier staff work products as required
Prepare semi-complex quarterly account reconciliations and CapEx reports
Ensure compliance with Corporate Policies and SOX Controls
Satisfactorily address customer inquiries in a timely manner
Train/mentor new/lowered-tier staff (as applicable)
Basic Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a general understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
The ideal candidate will also possess a strong willingness to learn and develop oneself, as well as excellent time management and partnership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
4 year Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or similar
Preferred experience includes; 2-3+ years of experience working in Accounting, Experience working in Fixed Assets, real estate development & construction or industrial engineering.
Preferred understanding of Accounts payable, knowledge of depreciation concepts and MACRS recovery periods, and Property tax knowledge and experience is a plus.
