Python Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Python Engineer in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
* Python Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications that utilize AI technologies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
* Write and maintain code for ChatGPT projects, ensuring functionality and user experience
* Implement solutions using frameworks like LangChain and integrate OpenAI APIs into applications
* Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure best practices are followed in software development
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
* As a Python Engineer, you will assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing existing applications
* Collaborate with database engineers to design and maintain efficient database solutions
* Develop and consume RESTful APIs to connect front-end and back-end services
* Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Python and AI

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* 5 to 10 years of experience in Python development, with a proven track record of building scalable applications
* Strong experience with AI development, including personal or professional projects using ChatGPT or similar technologies
* Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain and OpenAI
* Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
* Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
* Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
