Job Title: Taxonomist
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 Months
In order to qualify for and be successful in this role, you should have:
Proficiency in creating and tuning classification rules within Progress Semaphore
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for model enrichment
Advanced knowledge of SPARQL and RDF formats
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills to maintain consistent and accurate classification
5 years of experience in classification and taxonomy management, preferably in a digital content environment.
Experience with semantic data formats and technologies, including SPARQL and RDF.
Proven track record of successfully tuning classification engines and meeting classification precision targets.
Education:
Graduate degree in Information Management, Library and Information Science (ALA-Accredited MLS/MLIS, MSIM, MSIS), or have the equivalent work experience.
5 years of experience in classification and taxonomy management, preferably in a digital content environment.
Experience with semantic data formats and technologies, including SPARQL and RDF.
Proven track record of successfully tuning classification engines and meeting classification precision targets.
