Title: Business Systems Support Manager (Please note- PeopleSoft ERP experience is STRONGLY preferred, but they will consider other ERP platforms)
Location: Hybrid in St Paul, MN. Must work onsite 3 days/week (2 days remote). Must be local to MN to be considered.
Interview Process: 3 step process (1st with HM, 2nd with HR stakeholders, 3rd with IT team
Intake Notes/Other Info: One project is the development of a Hyperion cloud version of Budgeting & Forecasting. This is being done by a 3rd party with a go live of February 2025 so the new Manager will assume this project and see through to completion. In this role you will be reviewing all of their licensing and contracts to pare down them down: licensing to make sure they re only paying for what they need or are using; contracts to determine those with whom they are actively working. Team is 3 direct reports. Someone with a finance mindset is beneficial.
Client is in need of a Business Systems Support Manager to establish vision, set expectations and provide clear direction and support to ensure the business systems operational, procedural, and regulatory requirements are satisfied. To provide direct supervision and management of IT staff; to work closely with stakeholders and vendors to understand the business goals and objectives; and to support and engage in implementing functional and technical solutions.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Leadership - Experience and understanding of ERP (preferably PeopleSoft) and related workflows; including functional and technical expertise relevant to HR, Finance, data management and systems integration.
Business and Systems Management - Managing the life cycle of the ERP and business systems, including: Planning and analysis to development, testing, deployment and support; Planning for system maintenance and downtime, monitoring of system availability, preparing for disaster recovery, maintaining system security; Ensuring adherence to system policies such as, but not limited to, data access security, change management, and user functionality access.
Relationship Building - Build and maintain working relationships, and act as liaison between functional staff and technical Team; serve as systems-related functional and technical advisor to staff.
Must Have Skillsets:
7+ years of experience in supporting ERP (preferably PeopleSoft) or other large-scale Information System, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Experience managing and coordinating multiple concurrent projects and tasks, including setting priorities, managing scope, and meeting deadlines.
Strong technical analysis, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills; high-level attention to accuracy and detail.
Strong leadership skills with knowledge of supervisory practices, and a team player who can work effectively with Team and district staff.
Technical writing skills and willingness to adequately capture and document details of system activity.
Organizational skills ability to plan, coordinate, delegate and supervise daily duties of staff.
Nice to Have Skillsets:
Financial, accounting, and/or HR related knowledge and/or experience.
Technical knowledge and/or experience including SQL query and relational databases, database platform administration, cloud-hosted environment administration, data integrations, report creation, and programming.
