Job Description
Test Managers play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of the imaging system. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications and systems developed to support the VA's healthcare data sharing initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute comprehensive testing strategies, leveraging your expertise in testing methodologies, automation tools, and healthcare domain knowledge. Having an active VA clearance is a plus!
VA experience is highly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and procedures for VistA Imaging, ensuring thorough coverage of all system components and functionalities.
- Lead a team of remote testers, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and system architects, to understand requirements and identify testing needs.
- Coordinate testing activities, including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and reporting, ensuring timely resolution of issues and adherence to project timelines.
- Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and increase efficiency.
- Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability testing to assess system capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to healthcare imaging systems, incorporating relevant knowledge into testing methodologies and strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on healthcare or imaging systems.
- Proven experience in test management, including developing test plans, leading testing teams, and overseeing testing activities for complex software systems.
- Strong understanding of DICOM standards and protocols, with experience working with DICOM image acquisition instruments.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a remote work environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach to challenges.
