Senior Accountant

We have an immediate need for a Senior Accountant to join a staffing company for a full-time, permanent position that is hybrid in Hawthorne, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in G/L accounting, ERP systems, and financial reporting/forecasting.

Location: Hawthorne, CA (2 days remote)

This job expects to pay about $85,000-105,000 plus benefits

What You Will Do:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• General Ledger Management- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Budgeting and Forecasting- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts. Trend analysis. Compare actual results with budgeted figures, analyze variances, and prepare reports for management.
• Audit and Compliance- Coordinate internal and external audits and provide necessary documentation. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data integrity.
• Tax Preparation and Filing. Ensure timely filing of tax notices. Keep updated on tax laws and regulations, implementing changes as needed.
• Process Improvement- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Management- Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. Review AR and AP aging reports, follow up on overdue invoices, and manage vendor relationships.
• Treasury and Cash Management - Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• System Management - Oversee the use and maintenance of accounting software and systems.

What Gets You The Job:

• Bachelors Degree in accounting or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a senior accountant (G/L maintenance, financial reporting, financial forecasting, audit, etc.)
• Experience in systems such as Dynamics GP, Power BI, Excel, etc.
