ERP International, LLC () is currently seeking a Cloud Architect supporting our DISA customer. The Architect will work as a part of an Agile team performing DevSecOps.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure design and management, with expertise in Kubernetes (K8S), Microsoft Azure, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). This role will involve leading cloud architecture initiatives, designing scalable and secure cloud environments, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative cloud solutions.
Job Location: On customer site (Ft. Meade, MD) with telework options.

Pay Range: $180,000-$250,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate s background and the specific demands of the role.

Responsibilities
Job Specific Details and Tasks:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Lead the architecture and deployment of Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Provide expertise in RHEL, managing and configuring systems to support various applications and services.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to design and implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Develop and maintain cloud governance policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead the migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, implementing best practices for cost management.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and architects.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, Kubernetes, and infrastructure management, and recommend improvements to current practices
Qualifications
- Must have active DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher
- Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 4 years focused on cloud architecture and deployment.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including cluster design, deployment, and management.
- Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, and networking components in an air-gapped environment
- 3+ years of experience managing and configuring RHEL in a production environment.
- Skills:
- Able to lead a team of DevSecOps engineers in order to prioritize their efforts.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, VNETs, and load balancers in a cloud environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a cloud environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced Level Certification in Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Certification in Kubernetes (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)).
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible or ARM templates.
- Knowledge of database management in a cloud environment (e.g., Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
