Senior Data Architect

MUST be local to New York. Hybrid Schedule. At least 3 days onsite.

Salary: up to $250k base

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and document reference architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Communicate and mentor teams on architectural standards and best practices.
• Support engineering teams in implementing architectural designs.

Requirements:

• 10+ years as a data architect.
• Proficiency in data modeling and establishing data contracts between producers and consumers.
• Experience designing modern, cloud-based data pipelines with strong data governance.
• Knowledge of medallion and Lambda architectures (streaming/batch).
• Strong discipline in documenting architecture (conceptual, logical, physical).
• Expertise in microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with data governance tools (Data Quality, Lineage, Cataloging, Profiling, and Observability).
• Ability to design analytical layers for diverse business use cases, including AI.
• Financial sector experience, preferably with derivatives, cash, finance, or banking products.
• Familiar with Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, MDM tools, and governance solutions.
• Strong skills in data observability and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Bachelor s degree required
