Description

We are offering a contract for a GIS Specialist role in the local government sector, located in Chesapeake, Virginia, United States. As a GIS Specialist, you will be tasked with a variety of duties, including the use of ESRI ArcGIS 10.8x or ArcGIS Pro and a Fiber Management System to digitize, modify, and attribute telecommunications facilities from diverse data sources.

Responsibilities:
Use ESRI ArcGIS 10.8x or ArcGIS Pro to digitize telecommunications facilities
Modify and attribute telecommunications facilities using a Fiber Management System
Apply your understanding of outside plant (OSP) mapping and telecommunications assets in your work
Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of customer credit applications processing
Maintain accurate customer credit records
Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts
Apply your skills in CRM, Database Object, Database System, DB2 Database, Microsoft, AB Testing, Backup Technologies, Business Intelligence (BI), Create Dashboards, and Data Analysis in your daily tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience in the Local Government sector.
Proficiency in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
Knowledge of CRM systems and their application in a local government context.
Experience working with database objects and systems.
Familiarity with DB2 database and its management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
Experience in AB Testing methodologies and its application in process optimization.
Understanding of backup technologies and their implementation.
Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools, particularly in developing and implementing BI strategies.
Ability to create interactive dashboards for data visualization and interpretation.
Strong skills in data analysis, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
