Job Description

As a Project Lead your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Support Engineering Estimates and Software Development Plans
  • Oversee engineering project team and subcontractor deliverables and ensure project is within budget, schedule and quality standards
  • Work with other departments such as Program Management, Certification, Safety & Reliability, Quality and Manufacturing
  • Maintain the engineering work standards and processes
  • Evaluation of technical risk, mitigation and contingency
  • Produce and present monthly status reports for management review
  • Support continuous product improvement and innovation
  • Must thrive working under pressure and solving challenging problems
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering or Computer Science;
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in managing Agile software development teams or project management in the field of avionics or military products;
  • Experience in software development and design in the field of avionics or military products using development process and designing to quality standards (such as DO-178C, MIL- STD-810 or MIL-STD-461);
  • Demonstrated success in the execution and leadership of complex projects requiring cost and schedule performance management and risk management;
  • Demonstrated understanding of requirements management for the development of software systems;
  • Knowledge of Primavera or similar project planning tool;
  • Strong understanding of data analysis tools and techniques. This includes the ability to collect, clean, and analyze data to convey meaningful patterns and trends for executive presentation;
  • French/English bilingualism.
