Position Title: Senior Scrum Master/Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid with occasional client visits in Springfield, VA and Washington, DC
Position Overview:
Indev is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master/Business Analyst to support our growing portfolio of automation and Salesforce initiatives, primarily focused on our Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) client. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, results-driven professional with strong expertise in agile methodologies, business analysis, and scrum practices. This role requires a deep understanding of both business process automation and agile project management, to help lead teams and drive delivery of high-impact solutions for TSA s use of Salesforce and other automation tools.
In this role, you will engage with senior government stakeholders, facilitate agile ceremonies, support requirements gathering, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver Salesforce-driven solutions and process automation efforts. This is a fast-paced, demanding environment with access to senior client leadership, so the Senior Scrum Master/Business Analyst must be comfortable interacting with and advising government stakeholders across multiple levels.
Candidates must live in the greater DMV area for occasional onsite government work and meetings in Springfield, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
Agile and Scrum Leadership:
- Facilitate all Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Planning, Review, Retrospectives, Daily Stand-ups) for various automation and Salesforce projects.
- Coach teams to higher levels of agile maturity and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Work with the Product Owner and development teams to ensure user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
- Remove any impediments to ensure the team stays on track, addressing issues and resolving roadblocks.
- Drive team transparency using Agile metrics and regular updates, helping stakeholders stay informed about progress, risks, and outcomes.
Requirements and Business Analysis:
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, including senior TSA leadership, to define and gather technical and business requirements for Salesforce implementations and automation solutions.
- Assist with backlog management, ensuring that features, epics, and user stories are appropriately detailed and prioritized in alignment with business goals.
- Conduct analysis and document business processes, identifying areas for improvement and supporting the design of optimal automation solutions.
- Partner with stakeholders to review and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Support planning sessions and contribute expertise to Release and Sprint Planning, ensuring project timelines and milestones are met.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Facilitate communication between business and IT stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, requirements, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, and business analysts to ensure smooth implementation and deployment of automation solutions.
Project Management and Reporting:
- Provide status updates and reports to senior leadership, ensuring timely communication of project progress, risks, and issues.
- Lead the creation of key project deliverables such as sprint review reports, status reports, and process flow diagrams.
- Manage project risks and communicate mitigation strategies to stakeholders, ensuring projects stay on track.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college, university, or academic institution in the United States.
- 8+ years of practical/on the job experience as a Scrum Master guiding teams through Agile practices and values with cloud-based platforms (Salesforce, Azure, AWS, etc.), 3+ years of which were supporting Federal IT projects.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud-based platforms such as Salesforce, UiPath, or other automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, and experience leading agile ceremonies and teams.
- Experience with Agile tools (Jira experience is a plus).
- Experience supporting the full SDLC, from initial discovery and feature decomposition, through delivery and deployment, and ongoing operations.
- Proficient in creating and managing project backlogs, writing clear and concise user stories, and maintaining acceptance criteria.
- Experience with client management including scoping and expectation setting.
- Experience facilitating collaboration between business and technical teams, particularly in fast-paced and complex environments.
- Ability to guide design and development efforts to ensure build plans, Sprint plans, and any other required deliverables are ready on time.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from PMI or equivalent Agile certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting large Salesforce implementations and/or automation projects for federal agencies.
- Salesforce configuration experience.
- Additional Agile certifications such as CSPO, CSM, or PMP.
- DHS Public Trust clearance or eligibility is highly preferred.
