Job Description:

Required Skills:

7+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on web-based applications.

Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.

7+ Years of strong programming skills in JavaScript and Python

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools (e.g., GitLab), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Test Execution and Automation:

Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

Monitor test results, analyze defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.

Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and usability issues.

Implement best practices for defect tracking, reporting, and resolution using issue tracking systems (JIRA).

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria.

Communicate test results, status updates, and quality metrics to project stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Participate in design reviews, code inspections, and sprint planning meetings to provide input on testability and quality aspects of software designs.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Mentor junior members of the testing team and provide guidance on testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Champion initiatives to improve overall software quality, testing efficiency, and team productivity.

Test Planning and Strategy:

Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing objectives, milestones, and deliverables.

Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.

Desired Skills:

Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Agile Tester, or similar (preferred).

Experience with performance testing tools and techniques (preferred).

Additional Key Information:

Must be a W2 employee.

Will include the potential for quarterly travel to Deloitte offices.

Work must be performed from a US location and engaged resource must be video capable during work hours in the eastern US time zone.

This position is on a long term/multi-year contract that includes the possibility for yearly performance-based bonuses
