Database Developer will be responsible for the design, planning, development and maintaining customers internal applications' backends.
The developer will be involved in data integration projects between internal and external systems. All while following coding standards throughout all aspects of the solution development to produce efficient and high-quality solutions

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement reliable and effective database systems based on business requirements.
  • Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects
  • Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
  • Develop technical and training manuals
  • Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols.
  • Work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in key business projects.
  • Recommend improvements to existing ETL jobs as necessary
  • Ensure the privacy and security of PHI (Protected Health Information) as outlined in policies and procedures relating to HIPAA compliance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Over ten (10) years of experience performing database (RDMS) development and support.
  • Seven (7) years with MS SQL Server.
  • Detailed knowledge of database technical architectures, ETL, data structures, and reporting tools and environments.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL standard database maintenance, monitoring/alerting and best practices
  • Fluency with at least one scripting or programming language.
  • Highly skilled in developing and optimizing T-SQL (DDL, DML, DCL) queries with MS SQL Server 2016/2019.
  • Familiarity working with .Net Framework, WebAPIs, X12's and HL7's
  • Experience in programming, analysis and design, systems development, or systems administration preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • In-depth understanding of data management.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience using Source Control and management tools such as Azure DevOps and Gitlab/GitHub.
  • Experience transforming requirements into Design Concepts and ERDs using Visio.
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills
  • Hands on expereince working with CDC (Change Data Capture)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • knowledge of non-relational database (NoSQL) designs using MongoDB and others.
  • Adept at handling multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
