Sr. DevOps Engineer

THE RUNDOWN
Playfly Sports is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead IT efforts by engaging as a key resource in automating, managing, developing, and deploying software needs for maintaining and enhancing technical infrastructure.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Manage and maintain Playfly s in-house and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Act as technical lead between Vendors and Playfly business unit SME s when navigating integration needs and implementations
- Troubleshoot software infrastructure issues and collaborate with appropriate resources to resolve
- Develop automated workflows; Design and implement system tools
- Review, interpret, analyze and enhance in-house code that supports day to day business needs.
- Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, processes and procedures
- Remain informed on industry trends and emerging technologies that may be relevant to the support and/or advancement of Playfly s technical environment
- Other job-related duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field required
- Previous experience in a DevOps / System Engineer capacity required
- SQL Expertise, including query writing and optimization, data analysis and database management required
- Scripting experience with Python
- Experience developing web applications with a focus on frontend performance and user experience (JSON, Java, JavaScript)
- Experience working with web application development frameworks and APIs (SOAP, REST, etc.)
- Experience with Core AWS services such as EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, Route53, VPC, Architecture, etc
- Experience with process automation applications; in particular, MuleSoft Composer and RPA
- Ability to own problems end-to-end, thinking through everything from user experience, data models, scalability, and operability
- Ability to multi-task and manage complex technical implementations
- Avid sports fan with previous experience in the sports industry is also a plus
COMPENSATION
The pay range for this role is $130,000 to $175,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

- This is a sedentary role which primarily takes place in a professional office environment
