Position Summary:

The Infrastructure and Communication Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the organization s IT infrastructure and communication systems. This role combines strategic planning, implementation, and management of network systems and infrastructure projects to ensure seamless, secure, and efficient operations. The manager and team will be dedicated to maintaining high availability of all services while optimizing performance and aligning with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure including servers, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.
    • Ensure the infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.
  2. Network Communication:
    • Oversee the design and maintenance of network communication systems, ensuring reliable connectivity and communication across the organization.
    • Implement and manage VoIP systems and collaboration tools to enhance internal and external communication.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the infrastructure and communication team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Allocate resources effectively and manage team performance to achieve departmental objectives.
  4. Security Oversight:
    • Develop and enforce security policies for infrastructure and communication systems, conducting regular risk assessments and audits.
    • Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  5. Performance Monitoring:
    • Monitor system performance, network traffic, and communication efficiency, implementing improvements as needed to enhance performance and reliability.
    • Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  6. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for both infrastructure and communication systems to ensure business continuity.
    • Conduct regular testing and updates of recovery plans.
  7. Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage budgets for infrastructure and communication projects, ensuring alignment with organizational financial objectives.
    • Track expenditures and report on budget performance.
  8. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain thorough documentation of infrastructure configurations, communication systems, policies, and procedures.
    • Provide regular reports on performance metrics and project status to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on network communication.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and communication technologies (LAN, WAN, VoIP).
  • Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, AWS) are preferred.
