Job Description
We are a leading provider of a powerful SaaS platform that optimizes and accelerates creative production. Globaledit is private equity-backed, based in New York City with a well established client base. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Tech Lead/Principal Engineer to lead the architecture, performance, and codebase for our growing platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the codebase through hands-on coding and design of complex features
- Ownership of system performance, reliability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Lead the technical vision, architecture, and development roadmap for the Digital Asset Management Platform
- Mentor and lead a team of offshore engineers, ensuring high-quality code, efficient processes, and continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the broader engineering team
- Champion best practices in software engineering, coding standards, and DevOps
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Thrives in a team environment collaborating across functions
This role operates in a hybrid model with 3 days per week onsite in our studios and office in Tribeca.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, or Senior Software Architect
- Expert-level proficiency in C# .NET ASP.NET, and XUnit
- Extensive experience (4+ years) working with AWS services such as API Gateway, EC2, Cognito, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, and DynamoDB
- Familiarity with additional technologies including Postgres, Redis, Docker, Azure DevOps, and PowerShell (a plus)
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, and performance optimization techniques
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience leading and mentoring cross-functional engineering teams
- Ability to work collaboratively with product managers and stakeholders
- An interest in learning and coaching teams through AI/ML projects
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus!)
Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $180,000 - $200,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors, including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
