The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is a federally chartered, nonpartisan institution that was created by the US Congress to serve as America’s national memorial to the victims of the Holocaust and an educational institution dedicated to the history and lessons of the Holocaust. The Museum seeks to educate Americans from all 50 states and all walks of life as well as international audiences. The Museum has three areas of expertise: Holocaust remembrance, Holocaust scholarship and education, and genocide prevention.

Duties include the following:
Provides advice and assistance to USHMM Executive Leadership, Office Heads, and Departmental Managers on the acquisition of new or modified Audiovisual technologies for the USHMM.
Formulates budgetary requests for Audio Visual systems, hardware, software, and services. Proactively provides the management with accurate data and measurements on the utilization of Audiovisual Systems, growth patterns, and anticipated system upgrades and their associated costs.
Represents the Contracting Officer by providing specific technical input on AV projects for which the employee is assigned responsibility as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Supervises the operations of contracted personnel.
Participates in the development of strategic plans and provides technical support for the operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrade of the facilities’ structural and infrastructural systems. Manages various contracts to operate, maintain, and upgrade facilities and equipment.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
